I remember that back in Poland both of my grandmothers had a huge moulding board or stolnica, which they used for making the dough that was used for pierogi, paszeteciki (meat baked into the dough), or general pastries.  I was always fascinated by the transformation that took place on the moulding board (stolnica) when the ingredients all came together at the construction site that is the stolnica (moulding board). Imagine, the flour, eggs, margarine, and other ingredients all combined by the magic of chemistry take shape to create the dough.

The stolnica is essentially a must have in every kitchen. Not because you can buy it at Dom itp, but because it makes dough preparation easy, less messy and organized. Having a Polish moulding board (stolnica) in your kitchen is a bit nostalgic because it brings back memories of Poland, grandma’s baking, and it lets you carry on another Polish tradition from Poland to the United States.
