This past weekend we have celebrated our nation’s 232nd birthday. Many of us spent the long weekend with family and friends, and celebrated by watching the fireworks and BBQ’ing. Now that the celebrations have ended, we need to remember that Independence Day is a reminder to apply Scotts® Step 3 in order to maintain a healthy and beautiful lawn.
At this point you should have already used Scotts® Step 1 and Step 2, which were mentioned in the previous posts. Step 3 is usually applied after the 4th of July, and the main purpose of this application is to feed and strengthen your lawn against the summer heat and drought, and kill and protect against bugs just as the previous applications do respectively.
In order to get the best results, Scotts® Step 3 should be applied to dry lawn with a Scotts® spreader and then the lawn needs to be watered. The application needs to be used whenever bugs appear to be present and there is a significant signs of heat or drought. The fertilizer should be kept away from ornamentals or mulch as it is designed to make your lawn greener, and it will damage your ornamentals.
Step 3 will help your lawn maintain the green look as it battles the hot and lazy days of summer. If you are in Chicago, we invite you to our Dom itp - Garden and Hardware Center store. Here you will find all 4 steps for your lawn management.
