By now you probably have a garden that is growing pretty nicely, and you are keeping it up by watering the plants accordingly. Remember, water the plants either early in the morning or later in the evening. Tomatoes need to be watered near the root right near the ground, but cucumbers can be watered over the entire plant. However, constant maintenance of your garden does not guarantee that it will be bug or insect free. The Japanese beetle is the most dangerous insect to your entire garden at this time of the gardening season. The main objective of this insect is to consume or eat the freshly grown plants and fruits in order to be able to lay more eggs and expand the beetle population. The Japanese beetle loves tomatoes, cucumbers, and grapes the most, but the insect will eat every plant it sees.
The easiest way to spot the Japanese beetle is to look at the leafs of your plants. If the leafs have many holes or look like a screen on your patio doors, then you know that a Japanese beetle is present in your garden. All this at the expense of your hard work that you have put into your beautiful garden. If you fail to control the Japanese beetle, the insect will lay eggs in your grass, which in turn will become grabs and that will lead to the destruction of your grass by the grabs. Thus, you will be facing the problem of grab control as a result of not controlling the Japanese beetle, but we will discuss this in an upcoming post.
