One such product that withstood the test of time is the Bialy Jelen (White Deer) natural Polish soap (szare mydlo). As we all look for products that are organic and natural, the Polish natural soap is just that. The soap is softer than other not natural soaps since it (szare mydlo) does not include any ingredients that give the soap a particular scent and the contents of the natural soap (szare mydlo) are completely natural. The soap is an excellent alternative to the current soaps for those with allergies since the natural contents do not cause any irritation.

Besides for using the natural soap on your body, it can also be used in other pragmatic way. It might sound a bit archaic, but utilizing the soap’s natural ingredients works wonders on your bed’s linens by making them whiter, that’s a fact.

I remember that back in Poland both of my grandmothers had a huge moulding board or stolnica, which they used for making the dough that was used for pierogi, paszeteciki (meat baked into the dough), or general pastries.  I was always fascinated by the transformation that took place on the moulding board (stolnica) when the ingredients all came together at the construction site that is the stolnica (moulding board). Imagine, the flour, eggs, margarine, and other ingredients all combined by the magic of chemistry take shape to create the dough.

The stolnica is essentially a must have in every kitchen. Not because you can buy it at Dom itp, but because it makes dough preparation easy, less messy and organized. Having a Polish moulding board (stolnica) in your kitchen is a bit nostalgic because it brings back memories of Poland, grandma’s baking, and it lets you carry on another Polish tradition from Poland to the United States. The stolnica from Dom itp is made from sold wood and imported directly from Poland by Dom itp. The moulding board (stolnica) is currently available at our retail stores and our online store.

Here in Chicago, the second week of April, it is starting to look more like spring especially in our garden center located at 5212 W. Belmont Ave. This location is where you will find everything that you need to create, improve, and maintain your home garden. We currently have the following trees ready for planting; Early Apple, Jonathan Apple, Georgia Peach, Belle of Georgia Peach, Hale Peach, Red Have Peach, Bing Cherry, Tartarian Cherry, North Star Cherry, Montmorercy Cherry, White Birch, Split White Birch, Keiffer Pear, Santa Rose Plum, Methley Plum, Bruce Plum, and Pussy Willow. A lot of you have been asking whether these trees are ready to be planted now, and the answer is , yes.

Once the new trees has been planted, you need ensure that you protect them from getting sick. We recommend that you use Dormant Oil, which needs to sprayed onto the tree before any baby leaves begin to appear. The next time you need to use the Dormant Oil is after the baby leaves are fully grown that way you will not damage the young leaves. The oil kills larva and plant lice, which will prevent you newly planted tree from full development and eventually will kill the tree.

In addition to the trees, our Dom itp Garden Center has a wide selection of raspberry, blueberry, currant (porzeczka), gooseberry (agrest), and grape plants.
