It seems as though just few weeks ago the Dom itp stores have finish their Christmas extravaganza. But in reality, more than 6 months have passed. In the meantime, we have been busy ordering, organizing, and planning the details for Christmas in 2008.  During the Christmas season the demand for our Polish Christmas ornaments, Chicago ornaments, and all of our other directly imported from Poland decorations is so great that we usually make the Christmas decorations available in our stores in early October.

Since the folks in Australian are celebrating a “Christmas in July,” we at Dom itp decided to give you a sneak peek look (that sounds funny) at the upcoming Christmas ornaments that will be available in our retail Dom itp store locations and our online store as well.

The 2008 line of Christmas ornaments will include handmade and hand painted ornaments featuring Christmas themes such as; Santa Claus, Snow Fun, the Church in Krakow, and several others for which you will have to wait.

The second series of our Christmas ornaments is the Chicago collection. The Chicago ornaments are handmade and hand painted, and they include famous Chicago landmarks like; the Millennium Park Beans, Sears Tower, the John Hancock Building, the Buckingham Fountain, the Chicago Skyline, and the Wrigley Field and the White Sox Stadium. Here is a small preview of what you will find at our stores.

Our Christmas ornaments are very popular simply because they are very unique, they contain a lot of detail, they’re handmade and hand painted, and their unusual design and style makes them standout from others. Here are some of are more unique Christmas ornaments.

Each of these Christmas ornaments will be available in our retail stores and our online store. Our line of Polish Christmas ornaments, Chicago Christmas ornaments, and general Christmas decorations from Poland will be featured in our Dom itp booth at the 2008 Christkindlmarket, which is held after Thanksgiving Day at the Daley Plaza in Chicago.

If you would like more information regarding the Christmas ornaments please subscribe to our blog or email us at info at domitp dot com.

Throughout the entire year, you will find several products from various categories with the Polish flag, the Polish eagle, and general reference to Polska or Poland. Today, our Polish mugs take the center stage. The great thing about these mugs besides being able to drink from them, is the fact that they can be used as a decorative pieces. For example, you can keep your pens and pencils, and place the mug on your desk at the office. These mugs make a great gift for a family member or a friend, and your friend doesn’t need to be Polish, honestly.

You might ask, what is a mug with Polska - GOL! doing here? Poland lost in Euro Cup 2008. Yes, they did. But that does not mean that we should not be proud of the team or being Polish. Remember, World Cup is just 2 years away. So, get yourself a mug, support our national team, and be proud of your Polish heritage with Dom itp.

Just thinking about pierogi makes me hungry. Pierogi have been part of the Polish culture for centuries. The traditional pierogi consists of dough that is filled with potato and white cheese. However, the fillings can also consist of cabbage and mushrooms, meat only filling, and various fruits such as strawberries or blueberries. Although pierogi are generally made be hand, at Dom itp we have a little helper to make the process of pierogi making faster. The pierogi moulder does the job for by folding the dough with the filling inside, which is the final and often most time consuming aspect of making a batch of homemade pierogi.

SMACZNEGO!
